Are you interested in politics? Have ideas about how to make America a better place? Here's your chance to make your voice heard! PBS is currently sponsoring the "50 for 50" Contest. The contest invites students in 6th - 12th grade to write a letter of 500 words or less to a Presidential candidate about the issues they care about most and how to get those issues passed in Congress and signed by the President. The entry deadline is rapidly approaching on September 21st, so if you've got something to say, get writing! Your letter will need to be submitted by a teacher, so see your ELA teacher or email me ([email protected]) if you need an entry submitted. For more information, visit the contest page linked below. **This is also the submission page for all entries.** Good luck-- let the candidates know where YOU stand on the issues!
